Cookies Policy

Last updated: October 30, 2026

This Cookies Policy explains how ggardencalc.com uses cookies and similar technologies, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read with our Privacy Policy page.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your browser or device. Cookies let a site remember things, such as your settings, between pages and between visits. Some cookies are set by the site you are visiting. Others are set by outside companies whose services the site uses, such as an ad network. We also use similar tools, such as local storage and web beacons, and we include them when we say “cookies” in this policy.

Why we use cookies

We use cookies to keep the site working and secure, to remember your choices, to understand how the site is used, and to show advertising that helps pay for the free tools. The calculators themselves do not need an account, so we do not use cookies to log you in.

The types of cookies we use

Essential cookies. These are needed for the site to load and stay safe. They support basic features of the site software, protect against spam and attacks, and remember your cookie choice. The site cannot work properly without them, so they are not switched off by the consent banner. Our security and delivery provider may set a cookie such as __cf_bm to help tell real visitors from bots.

Functional cookies. These remember settings you have chosen, so you do not need to choose them again.

Analytics cookies. If we use analytics tools, they may set cookies to count visits and show which pages and tools are used. The data is used to improve the site and is not used to identify you.

Advertising cookies. These are set by our advertising partners to deliver ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure how ads perform, and, where you have agreed, show ads based on your interests. Examples from Google include cookies named IDE, __gads and __gpi. Cookie names and lifetimes can change, so this list is an example and not a full inventory.

Advertising partners and third-party cookies

This site may show ads served by third-party vendors, including Google AdSense and Mediavine. These vendors use cookies, and may use web beacons and similar tools, to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites. Google’s use of advertising cookies allows it and its partners to show you ads based on your visits to sites across the internet. These cookies are set and read by the vendors, and not by us, and their use is covered by the vendors’ own policies:

If we add or remove an advertising partner, we will update this page.

Your consent

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent through a consent banner before we set non-essential cookies or show personalized ads. You can accept all, reject non-essential cookies, or choose by category. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the privacy settings link on the site. In some other regions, such as California, you can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information through the same link or through your browser’s Global Privacy Control signal, which we honor where the law requires it.

How to control cookies

You have several ways to manage cookies:

  1. Use our consent banner and privacy settings link to set your choices for this site.
  2. Change your browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Look for Settings, then Privacy, in Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge.
  3. Opt out of personalized ads. Use Google Ads Settings, aboutads.info, the Network Advertising Initiative or Your Online Choices if you are in Europe.
  4. Use privacy tools. Some browsers and extensions send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal or block trackers.

Opt-out tools usually set their own cookie to remember your choice. If you delete all cookies, you may need to opt out again.

What happens if you block cookies

You can still use the calculators if you block non-essential cookies. Blocking advertising cookies does not remove ads. It usually means the ads you see are less relevant to you. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working.

How long cookies last

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device for a set time, which can range from a few minutes to about two years, depending on the cookie and the provider. You can delete them yourself at any time in your browser settings.

Cookies on children’s devices

This site is intended for visitors aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Parents and guardians can use the browser settings and opt-out links above to limit tracking on a child’s device.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookies Policy when our tools, partners or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
