Grow a Garden Trade Checker
Grow a Garden Trade Checker · Win Fair Loss tool
Quick Answer
The Grow a Garden Trade Checker compares two sides of a crop trade and gives a verdict of Win, Fair, or Loss, with the Sheckle difference between the sides. You enter the Sheckle values for your side and their side, and the tool tells you where the deal stands before you commit. Players also call it a gag trade calculator, a grow a garden wfl calculator, or a grow a garden win fair loss checker. It is all the same tool.
The goal is to stop losing Sheckles on trades that look roughly equal but are not. Pick GAG1 or GAG2 first, because the two games use different rules. For the Sheckle values to enter, calculate each side first using the Grow a Garden Calculator for GAG1 or the Grow a Garden 2 Calculator for GAG2.
The tool does not invent trade values for you, it does not fetch live market prices, and there is no pre-loaded price list. You enter the numbers yourself, so nothing gets assumed.
Is This Trade Fair?
Enter both sides with the same manual base values and weights you would use in the calculators. No trade values are invented here.
How to use
- Pick the game: GAG1 or GAG2. Do not mix the two games in one check.
- For GAG1, use the bracket rule for environment mutations, as on the Mutation Calculator page. For GAG2, use one mutation at a time, with the 2.65 exponent, decay, and daily deal where they apply.
- Enter your side value and their side value by hand, from the values you have worked out with the calculators on this site.
- Read the verdict and the Sheckle difference. A positive difference in your favour is a Win. A negative difference is a Loss.
- If the verdict is Fair, read the Fair band note below.
How Win, Fair, and Loss are decided
Each side is valued by hand before you enter it. For GAG1, each side is valued with the bracket rule: growth times (1 plus the sum of environment multipliers minus the count of environment mutations), then multiplied by base value and weight factor. For GAG2, each side is valued with the GAG2 rule: base value times the weight factor with exponent 2.65, times the single mutation, times decay, times the friend factor where it applies, times quantity, times the daily deal factor of 2.2 where it applies. This site does not hold a trade value list, and no value in this tool comes from a hidden list.
- Win means your side is worth more than theirs and the gap is outside the Fair band.
- Fair means both sides are within 5% of each other.
- Loss means their side is worth more than yours and the gap is outside the Fair band.
- Some traders use tighter or looser thresholds depending on who they are trading with.
- The raw Sheckle difference is shown under the verdict, so you can make your own call regardless of the label.
Fair band note: the 5 percent band is this tool’s own convention. It is NOT an official game rule, and it was not set by Roblox or the game developers.
Why accurate crop values matter
A wrong input on either side makes the verdict meaningless, so check these common mistakes before you enter your values.
- Wrong growth mutation: in GAG1, Gold instead of Rainbow changes the value by 2.5x. Double-check that the crop actually has the mutation.
- Bracket stacking confusion: in GAG1, Shocked 100x + Celestial 120x = 219x combined, not 12,000x. If your estimate is based on multiplied values, the comparison will be way off. Use the Mutation Calculator to get the right multiplier first.
Wrong game formula: a GAG1 value on a GAG2 side, or the reverse, makes the comparison meaningless. The weight exponent 2 vs 2.65 creates a massive difference on heavy crops, so pick the right game for each crop.
Decay toggle in GAG2: a decayed GAG2 crop is worth 0.20x of a fresh one. Forgetting to mark a crop as decayed makes the estimate roughly 5x too high. This single error causes more bad GAG2 trades than anything else.
- Daily deal in GAG2: only apply the 2.2x if the deal is actually live in-game for your specific crop right now. Leaving it on by default inflates the estimate.
Tips for getting a fair trade
- Always calculate both sides yourself, not just your side. If the other player gives you a Sheckle value, verify it by running their crop through the calculator with the same inputs they describe. Values that seem high are sometimes based on multiplied mutation stacks rather than additive brackets.
- For GAG1 trades involving multiple crops, add each crop’s Sheckle value separately and compare totals. The trade checker supports multi-crop totals on each side.
- For high-value trades, check the in-game sell screen on your own crop before agreeing. Calculator estimates are close, but the game applies rounding that can shift the number slightly. You want the actual sell value, not just the formula estimate.
- If the result comes back Fair, look at the raw difference too. A 4% gap that is 5 million Sheckles in absolute terms might still be worth negotiating.
Worked example
Your side is a crop with base value 1,000, Gold growth, and Shocked, at a weight factor of 1x. Its value is 2,000,000 Sheckles, as shown on the homepage. Their side, in this example, is a crop you have valued at 1,900,000 Sheckles by hand. The difference in your favour is 100,000 Sheckles. That is about 5 percent of their side value, so this check sits on the edge of the Fair band, and you should read the exact difference shown by the tool rather than the word Fair alone.
FAQ
What does the Grow a Garden Trade Checker do?
It compares your side and their side of a trade and gives a Win, Fair, or Loss verdict with the Sheckle difference. It does not set prices for you.
Does it work for both Grow a Garden and Grow a Garden 2?
Yes, but separately. Pick GAG1 or GAG2 first. GAG1 uses the bracket rule, and GAG2 uses a single mutation, exponent 2.65, decay, and daily deal. Never mix the two rules in one check.
What does WFL mean?
WFL stands for Win, Fair, Loss. It is the standard way the Grow a Garden trading community labels the outcome of a trade.
What does Fair mean?
Fair means the two sides are within 5 percent of each other. That 5 percent band is this tool’s own convention, not an official game rule.
Is a Fair verdict always a good trade?
Not always. Fair means the values are within 5% of each other. Whether that is good enough depends on the crops involved. Rare crops with low supply are sometimes worth accepting a slight loss on because of demand.
Where do the side values come from?
From you, by hand. Enter values you have worked out with the calculators on this site. No trade values are invented by this tool.
What if both sides have different crops from different games?
Calculate each crop with the correct game formula and enter the resulting Sheckle values. The trade checker works on Sheckle totals regardless of which game each crop is from.
Can I check a trade involving pets as well as crops?
The tool focuses on crop values. For trades involving pets, use Pet Hatch Weight to estimate the pet value alongside the crop check.
Does this tool store my trade history?
No. Nothing is saved between sessions. Each check is one-time and local to your browser.
